Reflection

My last workshop was very intense and tiring as it consisted of grouping my movement together
in order to strycture and complete my solo. As this is my last workshop, I focused on my second and third sub-question as I think dynamics and space is very relevent at the end of a process. The vidoes above involve the majority of my solo work which consistsof movement that I have developed from phrases as well as adding relevant choreography to connect these phrases. One video I would  like to analyse is video four because it involves the ending section of my solo in which I have developped movement from the beginning of my solo therefore my solo enters and exits in the same way. Furthermore I have also adapted my beginning solo so that I am repeating the same movement but facing different directions which I think is quite effective.
Due to the investigation of dynamics being one of my sub-questions, my decision on music was very diffucult as I wanted there to be an effective, contiunuous rhythm as well as changes in climax because this will help me to achieve a strong dynamic quality. I experiented with a range of music specefically with the music I have listed in my discography within workshop 9, finally settling on Olafur Arnalds& Nils Frahm – 00:26 (Ryan Davis Re-Think). This piece of music intrigued as it had a constant beat that would help me to perform and convey my dynamics.
By the end of this 3 hour workshop, I had a completed 5 minutes piece that connected well with my music. I also think it demonstrated clear choreography investigations. Furthermore when I began rehearsing my solo, my choreography filled the whole space which is what I wanted to achieve for my sub question three.
